This is to allow time to introduce a new referral process, aimed at increasing the quality of referrals and providing a more supportive wait for children/young people and their families.

Referral notes:
Once your referral has been received by the team it will be reviewed and a decision made about your possible treatment or care, and you will then receive an acknowledgement letter advising of the decision.
Please be aware that our waiting times are currently longer than usual due to significant service pressures and appointments will be offered when the child reaches the top of the waiting list. We are not routinely able to respond to enquires regarding specific waiting times. Please be assured we are working hard to offer appointments as soon as we are able.
